Medical science has known about the cancer-causing potential of parabens for some time. Parabens are preservatives used in health, beauty and personal care products.

Although no direct link between cancer and parabens has been established, the indirect evidence is so strong the European Union banned it for commercial use in 2012. Japan now forbids the use of parabens.

But the FDA has been slow to follow suit.

Now a new study cited in The Science Times confirms scientists’ fears:

Until the FDA acts on this research it’s up to you to protect yourself and your family. Women should be particularly wary: parabens have shown up in tissue samples of cancerous breast tumors.
