Ear Surgery Fredericksburg

Published on September 10, 2019

Children born with overly large ears and/or ears that protrude out from the side  of the head often face years of needless teasing from their peers. Through Ear Surgery, also known as Otoplasty, the ears can be altered to be more proportionate to the face and the shape and positioning of the ears can be corrected. Ear Surgery does not alter hearing ability, but solely address aesthetic issues a patient may have with their ears. The Ear Surgery procedure is performed through an incision in the natural fold of the ear that will hide any scarring. Dr. Walker will then remove and reshape the cartilage of the ear to the desired results.

Ear Surgery may be performed on children from the age of five up to adulthood. If you are interested in learning more about Ear Surgery and to find out if it may be right for you or your child, contact our office to schedule your consultation with Dr. Walker today.
