A new generation of lasers has come on the market. They are transforming the business of facial rejuvenation.

They’re making it possible for doctors like me to keep our patients’ skin taut and healthy well into their 30s, 40s and 50s. The earlier patients start, the longer they can live with youthful, supple complexions.

Infini PhotoI’ve been researching these new lasers and I’ve just purchased the best (in my opinion) piece of equipment in this category. It’s called the Infini High Intensity Focused RadioFrequency Laser.

RF with a Difference

We’ve known about radiofrequency’s ability to restore skin for some time. But our early RF lasers weren’t sophisticated enough. They were crude compared to this new generation of lasers.

They didn’t give us enough control during treatment sessions. When restoring skin to a more youthful state the goal is to keep the top layers of skin cool while heating the dermis (the collagen layer) to a precise temperature. Early RF lasers didn’t offer enough control over heat distribution.

Infini PhotoThere was a danger of burning the top layers of skin while trying to reach down to the dermis. To avoid that, we applied the RF waves at lower intensities. But that sometimes resulted in meager improvements. So we’d do more sessions, spacing out these milder treatments over time. But that was inconvenient for our patients.

The Solution: Microneedles

The Infini has solved this problem. The handpiece contains tiny microneedles that penetrate the skin and reach the dermis without affecting the upper layers. They’re insulated to prevent heat leaking into the epidermis.

The needles can be set to variable levels of penetration, enabling us to treat skin of varying thicknesses (on the face, neck, chest, etc.) all in one session.

Besides bypassing the outer layers of skin, the microneedles “fractionate” the RF energy sent to the dermis. That is, they distribute the RF energy over a wide area leaving many skin cells undisturbed. There’s less overall injury, and that means shorter down times.

With these two improvements, radiofrequency has become the new gold standard for skin tightening.

Infini PhotoIs it painful?
Compared with other devices (such as the CO2 laser), the Infini offers greater comfort to our patients.

How long is the downtime?
Depending on treatment settings there may be as little as 1-2 days of downtime or less.

How long before I see results?
You can expect to see some changes right away. However, your body will continue to rebuild collagen for several weeks afterwards, taking 4-6 weeks for complete results.

Infini PhotoHow many treatments will I need?
This will vary from person to person. The best way to find out what your needs are is to come in for a consultation.

The Beauty of Continuous Maintenance

Infini PhotoWhen you continuously remodel the “package” your features come encased in, your skin gets stronger and healthier. As it improves on a cellular level it retains volume, elasticity and suppleness that would otherwise be lost to the ravages of time.

Why not try out Infini over the holidays? Gift yourself with the newest “secret sauce” for a natural-looking youthful appearance.
